Wensleydale Sheep Exhibition Opening Talk
A welcome talk on Wensleydale sheep was given by Dr Graham Steventon of the Princethorpe flock to open the exhibition at Tennants Garden Rooms, Leyburn on the 21st January 2025. It was a brilliant day with a fantastic turnout of visitors from far and wide!
A Handcrafted History at the Great Yorkshire Show
The Wensleydale Sheep: A Handcrafted History exhibition, showcasing the finest handcrafted items made from luxurious Wensleydale wool, was exhibited at the Great Yorkshire Show from 8th – 11th July 2025, with a fantastic turnout of visitors and lots of wonderful feedback!

The Wensleydale Sheep: A Handcrafted History travelling exhibition, showcasing the finest handcrafted items made from luxurious Wensleydale wool, will be exhibited at the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes from 17th July 2025 until 17th October 2025
Skipton Sale
The 134th annual sale of Wensleydales at CCM Skipton will take place on the 30th August 2025. This is the first of our two annual affiliated sales for the breed and a highlight in our annual calendar
Melton Mowbray Sale
The 22nd Melton Mowbray Native & Rare Breed Show and Sale will be held on the 12th & 13th September 2025. This is the second of our affiliated annual sales and a fantastic opportunity for southern breeders to buy and sell their stock
Ianson Factory Visit
A members tour of the new I’anson feed mill near Thirsk, North Yorkshire has been arranged for the 22nd October 2025, including a dedicated talk about Wensleydale sheep nutrition. Any and all members are very welcome to attend, both new and long-standing, but please do RSVP!
